Context
Twenty years after the Christmas specials debuted on Globo, Roberto Carlos brings the celebration to Mineirinho in Belo Horizonte. The gathering brings generations together: Erasmo Carlos shares the bill with Cássia Eller, Barão Vermelho and Skank, while Fábio Jr. and Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano expand the presence of romantic songs.
Onstage, Cássia sings Parei na Contramão, Frejat leads Quando and Samuel Rosa takes on É Proibido Fumar. Roberto and Erasmo join these guests for Lobo Mau. The program also ventures beyond the arena: Quero Lhe Falar do Meu Amor features footage of the dunes of Cabo Frio, and Taxista travels through historic towns in Minas Gerais.
Globo airs the program on December 20, 1994, directed by Aloysio Legey and Walter Lacet. Two decades later, the special returns to television on Viva, in a retrospective celebrating the singer's birthdays. The recording preserves this meeting between Roberto's repertoire and performers from different generations.
- Cássia Eller, Barão Vermelho and Skank bring Jovem Guarda to the center of the celebration.
