Album featured at the showEsse Cara Sou Eu2012The EP gathers Esse Cara Sou Eu and Furdúncio, new songs presented in the special and also on the Salve Jorge soundtrack.“To see Roberto Carlos turn the 2012 Christmas special into a tribute to the rhythms of Rio.”
Context
In November 2012, Rio de Janeiro fits on the Citibank Hall stage. Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and the Arcos da Lapa make up Roberto Carlos's tribute to the city. The recording takes place on the 21st, when Esse Cara Sou Eu is already tying his voice to the romance of Salve Jorge.
Roberto shares the microphone with Michel Teló, Seu Jorge and Arlindo Cruz. Each meeting shifts the center of the program: Ai Se Eu Te Pego, Amiga da Minha Mulher and Meu Lugar enter into dialogue with his hits. The characters from Cheias de Charme join in on É Meu, É Meu, É Meu.
The TV edit intercuts the songs with fictional scenes and images of the city. Directed by Jayme Monjardim and João Daniel Tikhomiroff, the recording reaches Globo on Christmas night, after Salve Jorge. Jesus Cristo and the handing out of roses preserve the closing ritual within a tribute built for television.
- DJ Memê takes Fera Ferida into electronic music.
