Erasmo Carlos

Erasmo Carlos was born in the Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro and began his musical path in groups such as the Snakes and Renato e Seus Blue Caps. His partnership with Roberto Carlos produced songs and covers that defined Jovem Guarda, a movement that grew through the TV show hosted by the two of them and Wanderléa.

After that phase, Erasmo brought rock closer to MPB on albums such as Carlos, Erasmo (1971) and kept recording until his death in 2022.
