Barão Vermelho

Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1981, Barão Vermelho released their debut album the following year, with Cazuza on vocals and Roberto Frejat on guitar. Pro Dia Nascer Feliz appeared on the second album, and Bete Balanço brought the band to a wider audience in 1984 on the album Maior Abandonado.

Cazuza left in 1985 to pursue a solo career; Frejat took over on vocals, and the group continued releasing albums and performing live. The band remains active, with lineup changes.
