Context
On July 11, 2009, the Maracanã welcomes Roberto Carlos for the first time. The celebration of fifty years of career takes on stadium scale, with 68,000 people and an expanded orchestra led by Eduardo Lages. The singer arrives in a jalopy at a stage prepared for television.
Emoções opens the singing, but the night also makes room for encounters. Erasmo Carlos shares Amigo and Sentado à Beira do Caminho; Wanderléa comes close on Ternura. The three join together on Eu Sou Terrível. The rain forces a break of about ten minutes, without stopping the party.
After the Maracanã, the anniversary tour moves on to other stages, while television preserves the meeting in a Globo special. The finale brings together Jesus Cristo, roses handed to fans and fireworks over the stadium's rings. The farewell puts Roberto back at the wheel of the jalopy, linking the size of the celebration to the Jovem Guarda past.
- Amigo brings Roberto and Erasmo Carlos together in a duet marked by the emotion of both.
