Context
On October 12, 1993, River Plate's stadium welcomes Michael Jackson for the third time in five days. Buenos Aires is part of the Latin American leg of the Dangerous World Tour, which began the year before. It is his farewell to the city before the production moves on to São Paulo.
Jackson opens the musical sequence with Jam and crosses different phases of his career without abandoning the record that names the tour. Siedah Garrett shares I Just Can't Stop Loving You. The Jackson 5 medley revives three songs from his childhood, while Thriller and Billie Jean hold the center of the program.
Heal the World closes this night, with no Man in the Mirror after it. The tour still passes through Brazil and ends in Mexico in November. The professional footage from Buenos Aires circulates among collectors and online, preserving a 1993 version different from the one made famous by the Bucharest release.
- Siedah Garrett shares the duet on I Just Can't Stop Loving You.
