Context
Between the Spanish Sonisphere and Rock am Ring, Evanescence trades the big stages for a former industrial building in Wiesbaden. On May 30, 2012, bigFM gathers 300 guests chosen through a contest. The third album's tour takes an acoustic break, but the heat and the wait keep the room under pressure.
Amy Lee sits at the grand piano and opens with My Heart Is Broken. Lithium comes next; on Lost in Paradise, the other musicians let voice and piano fill the whole space. All That I'm Living For brings back The Open Door, while The Change strips the backing down to guitar. Bring Me to Life closes the six songs.
After Wiesbaden, the band returns to the festival circuit in Germany. The session circulates in professional recordings released by EMI Argentina in August 2012, without the audience questions that were also part of the event. The recording keeps a different scale of that tour: six songs, few instruments and the voice exposed at the center.
- Lost in Paradise is left entirely to Amy Lee, with voice and piano.
