Context
In September 2025, Evanescence sits in a gap between cycles. The Bitter Truth is still the latest album, but the next one is already in the works. At Louder Than Life, in Louisville, Amy Lee takes this transition to the stage: an hour of festival set brings together older songs and two recent singles.
Afterlife opens the show, while Fight Like a Girl turns up midway. Both come from screen productions, Devil May Cry and Ballerina. Between them, the band moves across different albums. At the close, Paul McCoy comes on to share Bring Me to Life, renewing with Amy the partnership of the original recording.
The reunion with McCoy ends a nine-year stretch without the two singing the song together. The night is also streamed live on Veeps, announced without a replay. The recording captures this in-between phase: the next album is not ready yet, but its possibilities already share space with the past.
