Context
Ten days separate the Landgraaf stage from the release of Simple Plan's fourth album. On June 11, 2011, the band takes the 3FM Stage on Pinkpop's first day. The new record has yet to arrive, but two of its songs already share space with the earlier hits.
Pierre Bouvier takes the vocals in front of Jeff Stinco, Sébastien Lefebvre, David Desrosiers and Chuck Comeau. Shut Up! opens the run, while Can't Keep My Hands Off You and Jet Lag introduce the new phase. In between, the Dynamite / Raise Your Glass medley shifts the set toward other artists' pop.
After I'd Do Anything, Perfect closes the encore and hands the ending back to the first record. In the following days, the new album reaches the public, and the band heads off to commitments in North America. Preserved in the festival's audiovisual archive, the show captures this interval between three known albums and a fourth about to come out.
- Jump includes a snippet of I Gotta Feeling, and Perfect closes the encore.
