Context
On June 16, 2013, Stereophonics arrives at Pinkpop's 3FM Stage with a recent change behind the drum kit. Jamie Morrison had replaced Javier Weyler in September of the previous year. Graffiti on the Train, released in March after a gap since 2009, sets the direction for the stop in Landgraaf.
Kelly Jones opens with Catacomb and soon brings in Local Boy in the Photograph and Superman. The new record fills seven of the thirteen songs, without sticking to the singles: Roll the Dice, Violins and Tambourines and Been Caught Cheating also make it in. Richard Jones, Adam Zindani, Morrison and touring keyboardist Tony Kirkham complete the lineup.
Maybe Tomorrow sets up the closing Dakota, and the band carries on through festival season before wrapping the tour in November. The performance is part of Pinkpop's broadcast program organized by 3voor12 and Cultura24. The film preserves this point of transition: a renewed lineup that gives the recent work more than half of the available space.
