Context
On May 27, 2012, Living Things has yet to reach stores. Linkin Park lands at Megaland, in Landgraaf, for the second show of its European tour. The Pinkpop stop puts Burn It Down and Lies Greed Misery in front of the audience before the release of the fifth album.
A Place for My Head opens the show with an extended intro and outro. Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda lead a sequence that crosses the early albums with the electronics of A Thousand Suns. Waiting for the End takes in a verse from Until It Breaks; Bleed It Out makes room for Sabotage, by the Beastie Boys.
The tour continues through Europe until June, and Living Things arrives that same month. The night's recording circulates in audio through the band's official recordings program, while excerpts air on Dutch television. In 2025, the full performance gets an official release through the festival archive, preserving this meeting between an established repertoire and material not yet out on record.
- Bleed It Out takes in Sabotage, by the Beastie Boys, before the closing run with Papercut and One Step Closer.
