Context
Less than a month separates a double change of musicians from this Nürburgring stop. John LeCompt and Rocky Gray had left in May; Troy McLawhorn and Will Hunt took over guitar and drums. On June 1, 2007, Evanescence arrives at Rock am Ring with the freshly reorganized lineup to carry on The Open Door tour.
Amy Lee is on vocals, with Terry Balsamo and McLawhorn on guitars, Tim McCord on bass and Hunt on drums. Weight of the World opens a run dominated by the second album. Going Under, Haunted and Bring Me to Life keep Fallen in rotation. In the encore, My Immortal comes before Your Star, which gets the last word.
After the European leg, the schedule moves on to the Family Values Tour with Korn and more shows in the United States, through December. The German stop remains documented by Rockpalast, which broadcasts the festival and preserves its setlist and lineup details. The recording captures a concrete transition: two newly arrived musicians carry the tour forward.
- My Immortal opens the encore, but Your Star closes the show.
