Context
On June 14, 2013, Paramore arrives on Pinkpop's main stage with a change still fresh in hand. Two months earlier, the band released its first album without the Farro brothers. Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Jeremy Davis take this three-member lineup on the European circuit, backed by touring musicians.
Misery Business opens the performance in Landgraaf, followed by For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic and Decode. The new record comes in with Now and gets three more spots during the show. Between Pressure and Ignorance, Let the Flames Begin stretches out its ending. Still Into You sets up the closing Brick by Boring Brick.
The tour continues after the festival and runs through the following years, while the self-titled album widens the group's reach. Ain't It Fun will go on to earn the band its first Grammy, for best rock song. The festival footage preserves the start of this cycle: the new songs already share the stage with the past.
- Let the Flames Begin gets an extended ending at the center of the show.
