Context
On the eve of Thanksgiving, the line wraps around the corner of the Paramount in Huntington. It is November 23, 2016, the final night of Evanescence's North American tour. The band had returned to the stage in 2015, with Jen Majura on guitar and no new studio album.
Amy Lee comes in on Everybody's Fool and then sits at the piano for Lithium. Between guitars and keys, Even in Death returns in a shortened acoustic form. Take Cover presents still-unreleased material, while Bring Me to Life gathers the crowd's voices under a shower of confetti.
The encore ends with Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana. The Live Nation stream preserves this stage of the comeback, before the change of language in Synthesis. In 2017, the band starts rebuilding its songs with orchestra and electronics; here, the center is still guitars and piano.
