Context
One day after playing Download Festival, Alter Bridge arrives at Pinkpop, in Landgraaf. The run belongs to the tour for AB III, released the year before. Myles Kennedy handles vocals alongside Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips, the three members who came from Creed.
The stage is at Megaland, home of the Dutch festival. The night's documented set runs through One Day Remains, Blackbird and AB III. The lineup keeps Kennedy and Tremonti on guitars, Marshall on bass and Phillips on drums. The third album provides the link between the show and that stage of the band.
After Pinkpop, the European schedule continues at Nova Rock, in Austria, and in Luxembourg. The recording remains in the festival's archive and places Alter Bridge on the 2011 summer circuit. It is a slice of the AB III era, between two festival shows in different countries.
