Context
On June 5, 2006, Nickelback takes Pinkpop's 3FM stage, in Landgraaf, with a recent change on drums. Daniel Adair had joined the year before and recorded All the Right Reasons. The quartet arrives at the festival with that record at the center of the tour, between European dates with Bon Jovi.
Animals opens the performance, followed by Woke Up This Morning. Photograph and Far Away bring the recent material close to the songs that drove the group's international rise. Chad Kroeger handles vocals and guitar, with Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Adair completing the lineup. Between Someday and Savin' Me, there is a pause to throw T-shirts into the crowd.
The road continues through 2006 and 2007, while All the Right Reasons widens its reach. Another show from that summer, in Sturgis, comes out on DVD and Blu-ray in 2009. The Landgraaf footage preserves a different slice of the same phase: the quartet on the European festival circuit, before closing the album's cycle.
