“To see the Zeitgeist tour reach Pinkpop with new songs and a long farewell in Gossamer.”
Context
Pinkpop 2007 welcomes The Smashing Pumpkins on the Zeitgeist tour. The show in Landgraaf gathers new songs and material from earlier eras, with Billy Corgan at the center of this comeback.
Today and Bullet With Butterfly Wings open the recording's musical set. United States, Bleeding the Orchid, Tarantula and Starz present the new era. The acoustic stretch includes For God and Country, Thirty-Three and To Sheila; the first two arrive with cuts in the broadcast.
Gossamer closes the show preserved in the archive. The recording comes from a TV broadcast, later transferred by collectors. The existence of a DVD copy among fans does not amount to an official commercial release by the band.
