“To see Gotthard bring the Domino Effect tour to AVO Session, with Steve Lee on vocals.”
Context
On November 4, 2007, Swiss hard rock takes over the Festsaal Messe in Basel. After hosting Deep Purple and Status Quo in other editions, AVO Session makes room for Gotthard. The band arrives with Domino Effect, its eighth studio album, released in April and number one on the Swiss charts.
Steve Lee takes the vocals, with Leo Leoni and Freddy Scherer on guitars, Marc Lynn on bass and Hena Habegger on drums. Nicolò Fragile completes the stage on keyboards. Master of Illusion and Gone Too Far open the run, which alternates recent material with Sister Moon, Mountain Mama and One Life, One Soul.
The tour continues through 2008, but the Basel stop also remains as a TV recording, produced by Swiss television and the festival. This edit gathers fourteen songs and ends on Lift U Up. It is not the whole night: the stage set still has room for Mighty Quinn, which is left out of the cut.
- Five songs from Domino Effect share space with songs from G., Lipservice and Homerun.
