“To see Roberto Carlos in Recife during Coração, a show that spans the early 1990s.”
Context
In 1992, Roberto Carlos arrives in Recife with a show that spans more than one season. Coração premiered at Canecão in February 1991, the year the singer turned fifty. The production returns for new runs and receives updates without abandoning the romantic core that shapes its conception.
Onstage, Roberto stands at the center of a musical ensemble led by Eduardo Lages. Luiz Carlos Miele and Ronaldo Bôscoli are behind the show, which combines recent songs and older hits. The tour brings together different phases of his career rather than limiting the performance to a single album release.
After its stop in Recife, Coração continues touring. The show reaches Imperator, in Rio de Janeiro, in December 1992 and continues its run in January 1993. The Recife recording preserves one stop in this long-running production, whose repertoire takes in new songs as albums arrive.
