Context
In February 2012, Vivo Rio hosts a tour that has already passed through other state capitals and takes all ten tracks of Chico to the stage. The 2011 album meets songs from several decades, without being isolated in a single block. Two nights of the Rio run provide the material for Na Carreira.
O Velho Francisco opens the show in front of a set that enlarges Niemeyer and Portinari. Luiz Cláudio Ramos leads the band, with piano, horns, keyboards and percussion. Wilson das Neves also sings: he shares Sou Eu and Tereza da Praia with Chico. Further on, Rap de Cálice incorporates Criolo's adaptation.
The tour runs until May, after reaching nine Brazilian cities. The recording comes out on double CD, DVD and Blu-ray in 2012, directed by Dora Jobim and Gabriela Gastal. In the edit, Todo o Sentimento and Futuros Amantes get black-and-white images. The stage finds another language but keeps the show's entire sequence.
- Wilson das Neves shares vocals on Sou Eu and Tereza da Praia.

Trivia
The set enlarges a drawing by Oscar Niemeyer and two paintings by Cândido Portinari, alongside a moving Möbius strip.
Geni e o Zepelim alternates black-and-white verses and color choruses in the film's edit.
Na Carreira, which closes the show, comes from the partnership with Edu Lobo for the ballet O Grande Circo Místico.
