Context
At three in the afternoon on April 7, Keane takes the Coca-Cola Stage at Parque O'Higgins. It is the band's debut at Lollapalooza Chile, in its third edition. The Strangeland Tour reaches Santiago with Jesse Quin already part of the group and the fourth album still at the center of the trip.
You Are Young opens the way for Bend and Break and On the Road. Tom Chaplin leads the singing, while Tim Rice-Oxley anchors the keyboards, with Richard Hughes and Quin in the rhythm section. Under the sun, the hits get sing-alongs; Everybody's Changing and Somewhere Only We Know share space with Silenced by the Night and Disconnected.
The next day, the band stays in Santiago to play Teatro La Cúpula, now outside the park's main program. The tour continues until August 2013. The festival recording belongs to that edition's streaming coverage, broadcast to South America: an afternoon of concentrated repertoire that also reaches those far from the lawn.
