Context
On May 26, 2012, Anouk returns to the Pinkpop main stage in Landgraaf. To Get Her Together had arrived a year earlier, widening the space for soul and funk in her music. Now those songs share a festival hour with the hits that established her on Dutch stages.
Killer Bee opens the way with staccato phrases. Three Days in a Row and Lost show the ballad side; Down & Dirty shifts the weight to funk. In a blue blouse, Anouk plays flight attendant between songs. Her ease contrasts with a band that is precise but quite routine in its playing.
The night also ends backing vocalist Ricardo Manuel Burgrust's four years with Anouk: he leaves the post to focus on his solo career. The following year, she takes Birds to Eurovision and finishes ninth. The Pinkpop recording preserves the phase before that shift in international profile.
- Killer Bee opens the show; Girl and Good God close the twelve-song sequence.
