Context
London is the starting point; Indonesia, the broadcast's destination. In August 2021, Keane records for Mola Chill Fridays after the pandemic interrupted its touring plans. The session renews contact with fans who had welcomed the band in Jakarta in 2012.
Tom Chaplin takes the vocals, with Tim Rice-Oxley on piano and keyboards, Jesse Quin on bass and Richard Hughes on drums. Bend and Break opens the session. Hopes and Fears takes up half of the twelve tracks, while The Way I Feel brings the Cause and Effect era close to the early hits.
Recorded on August 20, the performance reaches the Indonesian audience on the 27th. Sovereign Light Café closes the run, after Everybody's Changing, Somewhere Only We Know and Crystal Ball. The recording remains a broadcast session: a bridge between the 2019 return to records and the plans to get back on the road.
