“To see Floor close three nights at AFAS Live after five postponements, with the recording funded by the fans.”
Context
Five postponements separate the original date from this arrival at AFAS Live. Planned for March 2020, with tickets sold out in less than 24 hours, the event finally fills three nights in September 2021. Floor Jansen closes the run on the 3rd, with a production funded by the fans themselves.
On stage, the Marcel Fisser Band backs a journey through different projects. Ever Dream opens the way for Nightwish, while Face Your Demons and Energize Me bring back After Forever. Nemo gets an acoustic version. Henk Poort shares Sweet Curse and Dangerous Game with Floor and returns to close the set with The Phantom of the Opera.
The night also takes in songs Floor brought to the TV show Beste Zangers, without limiting itself to the bands of her career. The recording comes out as audio in February 2022, before the full film is made available in October. More than two thousand backers make it possible to preserve this night, after so many dates crossed off the calendar.
- Henk Poort joins on Sweet Curse, Dangerous Game and The Phantom of the Opera.
