Context
With live shows halted by the pandemic, Scott Stapp takes his partnership with ChildFund to an online performance. The concert is announced for May 28, 2020 and seeks new sponsors for children affected by the crisis. The initiative comes almost a year after The Space Between the Shadows.
Stapp takes the vocals in an acoustic format, tied to the ChildFund Covid-19 Response campaign. The stream is promoted on his social media and Creed's. Representatives of the organization follow the comments to guide potential donors, while the music creates the space to present the charity effort.
The campaign sets an initial goal of fifty new sponsors and plans for the performance to remain shareable after the stream. The recording keeps this meeting of music and fundraising during lockdown. This is Scott Stapp as a solo act, in a pandemic-specific initiative, not a Creed reunion.
