Context
A storm closes in on Red Rocks on June 27, 2022. Third Eye Blind arrive at the Morrison amphitheater on a tour celebrating 25 years of their first album. Taking Back Sunday and Hockey Dad round out the bill, while migraines and altitude sickness complicate things backstage.
On stage, Stephan Jenkins leads a quintet with Brad Hargreaves, Kryz Reid, Alex LeCavalier and Colin Creev. Thanks a Lot opens the release's run of songs, and Dust Storm brings the celebration closer to the recent work. Anything comes in a short version; Jumper, Semi-Charmed Life and How's It Going to Be fill the home stretch.
In 2024, the performance becomes a film and a live album. The edit selects part of the night, without reproducing the whole set played in Morrison, and also reaches American public television. The film keeps the celebration without erasing its counterpoint: before the hits, there is a show that has to happen despite the obstacles.
