Context
The Sunday headline slot changes hands before October arrives. With Doja Cat pulling out of the lineup, The Killers take both Sundays of Austin City Limits. On October 5, 2025, the band returns to Zilker Park, where they last played the festival in 2017.
The opener picks a local connection: Johnny Bush's Whiskey River, also associated with Willie Nelson. Guy Forsyth joins on harmonica, and Brandon Flowers later visits You Were Always on My Mind. Between those two tributes, the band works through Somebody Told Me, When You Were Young and Human, without centering the night on a single record.
The encore brings together Spaceman and Mr. Brightside, which picks up the bridge of All These Things That I've Done at the end. The performance is part of Hulu's festival coverage and survives as a broadcast recording. A week later, The Killers return to the same park to close the second Sunday as well.
- Guy Forsyth opens the night with the band on Whiskey River.
