Context
After more than two decades on the road, God Is an Astronaut comes to Hellfest for the first time. It is June 20, 2026, and the Valley stage welcomes the Kinsella brothers in the final stretch of the Embers tour. On drums, Anxo Silveira is part of the lineup for this leg.
Jo Quail plays with the group from start to finish. Her cello meets Torsten's guitars and Niels's drones, widening the space between heaviness and suspension. Fragile and Suicide by Star open the run; Seance Room leads the way to Oscillation and Embers. From Dust to the Beyond closes the journey.
The debut gets a second life a few weeks later. On July 10, the six tracks come out as Live @ Hellfest, mixed and produced by the band itself and mastered by Streaky. ARTE's film preserves the meeting on screen; the record captures this lineup with Jo Quail at the center of the experience.
- Anxo Silveira takes over on drums in the final leg of the Embers tour.
