Context
On July 8, 2018, Glasgow Green welcomes the final act of a TRNSMT spread across two weekends. The Killers arrive with Wonderful Wonderful and an expanded lineup. With Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer off the road, Ted Sablay and Jake Blanton cover guitar and bass.
Brandon Flowers roams the stage on The Man and Somebody Told Me before settling in at the keyboards. On For Reasons Unknown, a fan swaps the crowd for the drum kit. The Whole of the Moon brings the night close to the Scottish songbook, while three backing vocalists lead the mass singalong of All These Things That I've Done.
Closing with Mr. Brightside does not end the band's Glasgow run: after the festival, another stage awaits at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. The TV recording preserves the larger scale of the night but leaves out three songs. What remains is the contrast between the park crowd and the follow-up in a small room.
- A fan takes over the drums on For Reasons Unknown.
- Mr. Brightside runs through the Jacques Lu Cont remix before arriving at the original version.
