Context
In December 2003, ten thousand sold-out tickets bring Roberto Carlos to Maracanãzinho as Pra Sempre hits stores. The album dedicates its songs to Maria Rita, who died in 1999. This meeting of private memory and shared space gives the year-end special its focus.
At the arena, Roberto shares É Preciso Saber Viver with Erasmo Carlos and finds company in the audience for Como É Grande o Meu Amor por Você. The edit alternates between the stage and scenes from Projac. It is there that Zeca Pagodinho joins the singer on Além do Horizonte, extending the gathering beyond the arena.
Globo airs the program on December 20, two weeks after the concert. Pra Sempre gets a music video featuring images of famous couples, prepared for the occasion. The television recording brings two scales together: the crowd singing a love song known by heart and the personal tribute that underpins the new album.
