Why watch

“To see Roberto Carlos at Pascual Guerrero during the Colombian leg of the tour promoting Primera Fila.”

Context

Between London's Abbey Road studio and the field of a Colombian stadium, the scale of the encounter changes. Roberto Carlos arrives in Cali in May 2016 with Primera Fila as the starting point for his Latin American tour. The day before, the Colombian leg had begun in Bogotá.

At Pascual Guerrero, the singer takes center stage in a production that travels through the region with a large backing ensemble. Eduardo Lages handles musical direction for this phase. The night brings Roberto's Brazilian songbook into contact with the Spanish-language market, a connection that guides the promotion of Primera Fila.

After Cali, the announced itinerary continues through other countries before a return to Brazilian stages. The CD and DVD underpinning this leg are the Abbey Road recordings, released in October 2015. The Colombian visit belongs to a different setting: the stadium circuit that takes this project beyond the studio.
