“To follow the arrival of Diorama in a Triple J studio session, between performances and interviews.”
Context
As Diorama arrives, Silverchair takes over the Triple J studios in Sydney. The April 1, 2002 session gathers two performance blocks, interviews and music picks. It is a different format from a festival: the program makes room for the new songs and the conversation around them.
World Upon Your Shoulders and After All These Years open the first block. Without You, Emotion Sickness, Miss You Love and The Lever complete that part. After the break, Paint Pastel Princess starts the second sequence, which includes My Favourite Thing, The Greatest View and Do You Feel the Same.
Ana’s Song and One Way Mule close the performances. Between the blocks, the program plays recordings by Silverchair, the Beach Boys and James Brown; those picks are not performances by the band in that studio. The recording preserves twelve live performances and the radio frame around the arrival of Diorama.
