Context
The Winter Olympics take Creed to Salt Lake City in February 2002. The band joins the Olympic Medals Plaza concert series, during the medal celebrations. The trip comes at the start of the Weathered tour, launched a few weeks earlier in the United States.
Scott Stapp sings in front of Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips, with Brett Hestla on bass. The set recorded for the show combines the three albums released up to then. The Olympic program offers a different setting from the tour's arenas, bringing music and sporting ceremonies together in the same period.
After Salt Lake City, the band continues its American schedule and passes through Australia and New Zealand. Weathered remains the album tied to this cycle. The recording keeps the stop at the Olympic plaza and sets this concert apart from the band's shows in the other cities of the 2002 tour.
