Silverchair

Silverchair came out of Newcastle like a teenage short circuit and became one of the strangest mutations in 90s rock. From Frogstomp, raw grunge, to Young Modern, crooked pop with baroque ambition, Daniel Johns, Ben Gillies and Chris Joannou turned precocity into a trap and then into an escape. The band grew up in front of the public, trading weight for inner fever, orchestration and a wary shine.
