Context
In May 2010, the Babelsberg studios host a radio party on a concert scale. Antenne Brandenburg celebrates two decades, and Roger Hodgson closes the program backed by fifty musicians. The event takes place in Potsdam during his world tour, separate from Supertramp's anniversary tour.
On the Metropolis Halle stage, Scott Lawton conducts the Filmorchester Babelsberg alongside the singer. Take the Long Way Home opens the sequence, followed by Give a Little Bit. Breakfast in America and Dreamer keep the focus on the songs Hodgson brought to Supertramp; School comes before the close with It's Raining Again.
The performance airs on television, while the tour continues through other countries, alternating band, duo and orchestral formats. Later that year, Hodgson gathers recordings from different stages on Classics Live. School represents Babelsberg on the album and preserves a concrete link between that celebration and the road's balance sheet.
- School gets an orchestral recording that also appears on Classics Live.
