“To see Slash at Pinkpop during his first solo world tour, with Myles Kennedy fronting on vocals.”
Context
On May 30, 2010, Slash arrives at Pinkpop with a change of scale: the solo record gathers several singers, but the road calls for one voice to carry that material. In Landgraaf, Myles Kennedy takes on that role during the guitarist's first world tour as a solo artist.
On Megaland's 3FM stage, Ghost opens a sequence that moves across projects without separating past from present. Bobby Schneck, Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz complete the band. Back From Cali and Starlight represent the partnership with Kennedy; Rise Today brings Alter Bridge into the meeting, before the home stretch with Slither and Paradise City.
The professional footage is already circulating in the days after the festival and preserves the start of this road partnership. The touring cycle runs into 2011. Afterward, Kennedy, Kerns and Fitz stay with Slash on Apocalyptic Love, released in 2012 under the name Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The backing band gains continuity and an identity of its own.
- Rise Today makes room for Alter Bridge among the songs from the solo debut and from Slash's former bands.
