Evil Scarecrow — Bloodstock Open Air 2016

It is just before one in the afternoon on Friday, August 12, 2016, and Bloodstock's main stage welcomes a band that already knows the territory. With Galactic Hunt under its belt and the single Hurricanado newly released, Evil Scarecrow finds a crowd ready to join the theatrics.

Dr Rabid Hell hands out commands as the quintet makes the audience part of the show. Robototron gets the crowd dancing like machines; Hurricanado sets up two rival circle pits. To close, Crabulon brings a crab onstage and sends sideways movements across the field. Instrumental precision shares space with physical comedy.

After the festival, the band announces new dates for 2017 on the Rock You Like A Hurricanado Tour. The Bloodstock footage preserves these forty minutes as a record of the relationship built with the festival. Between guitars, costumes, and choreography, this is a performance in which collective participation carries as much weight as the songs.
