Context
Two years after The Satanist, Behemoth arrives at Bloodstock with an unusual choice for a festival: playing a recent album in full. On August 12, 2016, at Catton Hall, the band takes the main stage before Twisted Sister and trades a selection of hits for the album's running order.
As the sun sets, Nergal moves across the stage between Seth and Orion, with Inferno on drums and flames framing the scene. Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel opens the journey that ends with O Father O Satan O Sun. The running order remains intact: the nine tracks keep the album at the center of the performance, with no detours into the earlier catalog.
The encore breaks that framework with Ov Fire and the Void and Chant for Eschaton 2000. The next day, the band heads to Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic. The full Bloodstock footage becomes available later that August and preserves that choice: a 2014 album carrying almost an entire festival set.
- Ov Fire and the Void and Chant for Eschaton 2000 close the night outside The Satanist's running order.
