Akercocke

Akercocke formed in London in 1997, founded by Jason Mendonça and David Gray after Salem Orchid disbanded. The band released Rape of the Bastard Nazarene in 1999 and gained recognition with 2001's The Goat of Mendes. Three more albums followed, with Antichrist marking the end of the first phase in 2007. After years of inactivity, the group returned in 2016 and released Renaissance in Extremis the following year.
