Rotting Christ

Rotting Christ emerged in Athens in 1987, formed by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis. After demos and early releases, the band cemented its place in Greek black metal with Thy Mighty Contract (1993) and Non Serviam (1994).

In the years that followed, it incorporated elements of other styles without abandoning its roots. Theogonia (2007) marked a new phase, with references to Greek mythology and culture. The band remains active and released Pro Xristou in 2024.
