Anthrax

Anthrax took New York thrash metal beyond orthodoxy: speed and riffs coexist with humor, hardcore, pop culture and a rare openness to stylistic crossovers. The lineup changed several times, especially on vocals, but Scott Ian and Charlie Benante maintained an immediately recognizable rhythmic identity.

Among the Living is the historical center of the catalog; Joey Belladonna's return brought renewed energy to Worship Music and For All Kings, followed in 2026 by Cursum Perficio.

Why listen to Anthrax?

Thrash metal with hardcore elbows, a sense of humor and a curiosity that never fit neatly within genre boundaries.
