Ghost

Ghost turned metal’s imagery into large-scale pop theater. Created by Tobias Forge in Linköping, the project combines hard rock riffs, almost radio-ready melodies and a satirical liturgy built around a succession of Papa Emeritus figures.

The early anonymity became part of the myth, but the group’s strength lies in the friction between visual weight and increasingly direct songs, able to cross from the Swedish underground to arenas without abandoning its dark humor.
