Context
On June 11, 2016, Rammstein sets foot on Pinkpop for the fourth time. The band's previous festival visit had favored Liebe ist für alle da; now it moves across different phases of its career. Ramm4 opens the night by stitching old titles into a new song, part memory and part show of force.
On the Megaland stage, Till Lindemann leads a theater of fire and provocation. Feuer frei puts the flamethrower masks into action, while Flake goes through his punishment routine and reappears in a shiny outfit. The machine also fails: Paul's mask malfunctions, and the heart on Mein Herz brennt does not light up.
Amerika, Engel and Sonne make up the encore, with the stage bathed in the colors of the United States before Lindemann's burning wings. Dutch television initially broadcasts only three songs. The full recording reaches the festival's public archive in December 2025, preserving the seventeen songs and the mishaps of this machinery.
- Engel brings Till Lindemann's burning wings to the stage before the close with Sonne.
