Context
In July 2016, Jeff Waters arrives in Balingen once again handling both guitar and vocals for Annihilator. Dave Padden's departure had brought the founder back to the mic on Suicide Society. At Bang Your Head, that phase meets a set that spans different decades of the band.
King of the Kill opens the sequence, and Creepin' Again brings the most recent album to the stage. Waters splits the guitars with Aaron Homma, while Rich Hinks and Fabio Alessandrini take bass and drums. Never, Neverland and Refresh the Demon widen the journey, before Alison Hell and Phantasmagoria close the show.
The show gets an official release in January 2017, as part of Triple Threat, in DVD and Blu-ray versions. The package also includes acoustic sessions and a documentary from the summer of 2016. Balingen fills the electric side of that concept: the band at a festival, in contrast with the closeness of the studio.
