Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson was born as a band in Florida and became, in the 1990s, one of the great flashpoints between rock, spectacle and moral panic in the United States. Under Brian Warner’s command, the project combined industrial metal, glam, electronics and deliberately provocative iconography.

The trilogy of Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood holds its culturally decisive phase; later, changes in lineup and language increasingly turned the group into a vehicle for Manson’s own work.

Why listen to Marilyn Manson?

To hear industrial rock turn shock, pop decadence and American paranoia into arena theater.
