Dust Bolt — Bloodstock Open Air 2019

On August 10, 2019, Dust Bolt takes over the Sophie Lancaster tent at Bloodstock in Walton-on-Trent. The German quartet arrives with Trapped in Chaos, its fourth album, released in January. The festival appearance concentrates this phase into forty minutes, with five new songs among the eight selected.

Lenny Bruce shares guitar duties with Flo Dehn, while Bene Münzel and Nico Rayman anchor the bass and drums. The Fourth Strike opens the set; Mind the Gap breaks up the run of songs from the recent album. Cutting riffs and double bass drumming meet a growing crowd inside the tent, with circle pits in the front rows.

Agent Thrash closes the set and returns to Awake the Riot after a stop at Sick x Brain. In September, the full performance reaches a wider audience on the festival's channel, preserving this snapshot of the quartet. The recording keeps the newly released material alongside earlier songs without turning the occasion into a retrospective.
