Context
A week after Wacken, Kreator arrives on the grounds of Catton Park with Gods of Violence still fresh. The album had taken the band to number one in Germany. On August 12, 2017, the Ronnie James Dio stage hosts this meeting of commercial growth and thrash roots.
Mille Petrozza shares guitar duties with Sami Yli-Sirniö, while Speesy Giesler and Ventor anchor the bass and drums. Hordes of Chaos opens the attack. Satan Is Real, Gods of Violence and Fallen Brother place the recent material alongside songs from other decades. Enemy of God also incorporates a passage from Army of Storms.
Violent Revolution and Pleasure to Kill close the performance before the tour moves on to other European festivals. Bloodstock itself releases the full recording digitally in June 2018. It preserves a precise snapshot of that period: the new album gets room without pushing aside Total Death and People of the Lie.
- Enemy of God incorporates a passage from Army of Storms.
