Context
The sun still lights the main stage when Power Trip takes the stage at Bloodstock on August 11, 2018. Nightmare Logic had come out the previous year and now supplies five of the eight songs. The Dallas quintet arrives at the Ronnie James Dio Stage with Riley Gale out front.
Divine Apprehension and Suffer No Fool pave the way for Soul Sacrifice. Gale runs, jumps, and encourages the circle pits; during Executioner's Tax, he crosses the barrier and rides over the front rows. Crucifixation and Nightmare Logic keep the pressure on, before Firing Squad and the wall of death that accompanies Manifest Decimation.
The full concert footage reaches the public in May 2019, preserving this encounter between the band and the festival. At just over 36 minutes, there is no room for an extensive retrospective. Between two tracks from the self-titled EP and a closing song from the debut album, Nightmare Logic takes center stage.
- Executioner's Tax takes Gale over the crowd; Manifest Decimation closes with a wall of death.
