Context
In 2017, Mille Petrozza promised to return to Bloodstock as a headliner. Four years later, Kreator keeps that promise on Saturday, August 14, at Catton Park. The night also marks bassist Frédéric Leclercq's first UK performance with the band, following the long pandemic hiatus from the stage.
Violent Revolution opens the attack, followed by Extreme Aggressions and Phobia. Side catwalks, projections and pyrotechnics surround the quartet as circle pits open in the crowd. Fallen Brother interrupts the sequence to remember musicians who died during lockdown. On Betrayer, Dani Filth shares vocals with Petrozza; Pleasure to Kill closes the show.
Gods of Violence is still the latest studio album, but the performance already includes the single 666 - World Divided. The recording finds its way onto a record: in 2022, Live at Bloodstock 2021 arrives on double vinyl, limited to 2,000 copies. The promise made to the festival gets a physical release.
