“To see the Pumpkins take the Fillmore's reopening with a surprise show from the Siamese Dream era.”
Context
The Smashing Pumpkins play the Fillmore on April 27, 1994, at the reopening of the San Francisco venue. The surprise show belongs to the Siamese Dream tour.
The night's documented set starts with Soma and revisits Rocket, Geek U.S.A., Disarm and Today. Drown and Siva widen the selection beyond the tour's album. The encores include Silverfuck and Starla.
The night brings the Pumpkins' story close to the history of a key venue for American rock. The next day hosts the official reopening show with Primus. The Pumpkins' archive preserves the earlier meeting, announced as a surprise.
